After Care

Things to Do Daily

  • Do Red Light Therapy Twice Daily (10 minutes min - 20 mins max per session) 
  • Take a Collagen Supplement
  • Eat/Drink Extra Protein 
  • Be Kind to Yourself
  • Send Progress Photos to Kells

5 days After Session

  •  Remove New Skin
  •  Gently Wash Tattoo with Antibacterial Unscented Soap
  •  Apply a Generous Amount of Gel 2x a Day (you can get this from me at the time of your appointment. 
  • Continue Red Light Therapy. 
  • Continue Taking Collagen and Getting Extra Protein. 

Things to Avoid

  •  Avoid Sweating Until Bandage is Removed.
  •  No Direct Sunlight For 2 Weeks
  •  No Alcohol, Caffeine, Sugar (delays healing)
  • No Worrying About the Process (It's going to look red and swollen, but notify Kells if you have any concerns)
  • Do not go swimming or hot tubbing
  • Picking or Scratching Your Tattoo

What to Expect

  • Day 1-3 (Bright Red) 
  • Icepacks/Tylenol as Needed 
  • Week 2-6 (browns of all shades) 
  • When Brown has Faded to Natural Skin Tone, You're Ready for Your Next Session!
